Australian Air Express

Owned by Qantas Airways Ltd and Australia Post Corporation, Australian air Express (AaE) continues to be the driving force behind the modernisation of Australia’s air freight industry.


Virgin Australia

In 2000, the Virgin brand entered the Australian aviation market for the first time, bringing real competition in the leisure sector of the market. Launching the new brand Virgin Australia in May 2011.

Qantas is widely regarded as the world’s leading long distance airline and one of the strongest brands in Australia. Qantas also operates subsidiary businesses including other airlines.

Jetstar is Australia’s new low fares airline. Jetstar is wholly owned by
Qantas but is managed separately and operates independently.

Rex Regional Express
Australia’s largest independent regional airline, connecting 30 metropolitan and regional centres across New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia

Rotor­lift Helicopters
Rotor­Lift Pty Ltd was established in 1991 as a Helicopter Sales and Maintenance Company and now includes Skyplan Australia Pty Ltd, operator of helicopters for Charter, and Aerial work.


Airlines of Tasmania

Airlines of Tasmania services not only Flinders Island but remote South West Tasmania, with charter and survey services statewide, interstate and overseas.


Operating continuously since 1965, Tasair is Tasmania’s longest and most experienced airline and charter flight business.


Aus­Air has established a strong regional airline network, linking rural communities and provincial centres in Tasmania, Victoria and southern NSW with Melbourne.

King Island Airlines

Providing daily air services for carriage of passengers and freight between Moorabbin Airport in Melbourne and Currie, King Island. Fully flexible charter services are also available


Hobart Airport

In addition to domestic and general aviation operations, Hobart Airport provides an international gateway to the island State’s famous heritage.

Launceston Airport

Launceston Airport is a prime location to arrive or depart from Melbourne or Sydney as well as to fly to Flinders Island and King Island, or handle your air freight requirements.

Burnie Airport

Burnie Airport is situated geographically in the centre of the North­West Coast of Tasmania at Wynyard and is the Tasmanian mainland’s closest transport hub to Melbourne.

Devonport Airport

Owned and operated by The Tasmanian Ports Corporation Pty Ltd (Tasports). General aviation facilities include charter, intrastate and tourist services, aircraft servicing, and an air­freight depot.
